Hot Cocoa Recipe

Baby it's cold outside!  My favourite way to warm up when it's cold outside is to make hot cocoa the natural way.  Here is a natural hot cocoa recipe for the bitter cold to keep you warm inside.   Leave me a comment and let me know how you like it or tell me what your favorite way to warm up is.

Ingredients
2 cups organic milk or organic soy milk

  • 3 1/2 ounces best-quality organic dark or milk chocolate
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 2 teaspoons organic honey
  • 1 teaspoon organic brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon organic vanilla extract
  • 1 can of Whip Cream

  • Directions
  • Put the milk into a saucepan and break the chocolate into pieces and add to the milk along with a cinnamon stick, honey, and sugar and heat gently until the chocolate is melted.  Mix ingredients together with a small hand whisk.  Take out the cinnamon stick and pour into 2 cappuccino or caffe latte cups.  Add a little whip cream, chocolate shavings or cinnamon sprinkles and enjoy!
