If your looking for a great paraben free body wash with natural ingredients that won't break the bank, try Tree Hut Almond and Honey Body Lotion. Called the "Amazing Natural Moisturizer", it really pampers your skin with 100% Natural Shea butter while you enjoy the sweet scent of Almond and Honey! It will leave your skin smooth, soft and delicately scented.
The rich, non greasy formulation, infused with Shea nut oil, hydrates the skin leaving it smooth and supple. Vitamin E and Aloe Vera have also been added to help soothe and condition skin.
I really like this body wash and cannot wait to try the rest of their line which includes: Original Shea Butter, Brazilian Nut, Hawiian Kukui and Coconut Lime. You can buy them online at Amazon.com or find them in Walmart stores. You might want even want to stock up, it's my favorite lotion and really that fabulous!

Ok so I have to admit, I HAVE tried and LOVE the smell of this product. But, although it is paraben free, the second ingredient is Sodium Laureth Sulfate. Sodium Laurel Sulfate denatures protein (skin and hair are made up of protein). It is also a mutagen. This means that it is capable of changing the information in genetic material found in cells. It is also an eye irritant. SLS can damage the outer layer of skin, causing dryness, roughness, scaling, fissuring, loss of flexibility and can reduce the barrier function of normal healthy skin. Sodium Laurel Sulfate is also a comedogenic. It is the cheapest surfactant (sudsing agent) available to formulate products. It's in everything from dish soap to drive-way degreasers. There are other options available for surfactants that are gentle and effective, so I personally try to avvoid using products with SLS.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for you comment about this product containing SLS! I recently bought this and noticed it wasn't on the list of ingredients so they may have taken it out. I'm not 100% sure on that but I appreciate the information and plan on updating the blog on new natural body soaps that don't contain SLS :)
